Finally a book from an industry leader that has the guts to write about the real world of Agile software development. If I had to pick one word to describe this book, it would be 'truth'.

There are two primary things you need to be part of an environment that uses Agile processes. The first is enough experience to execute your role's activities in a way that enables agility, and the second is an understanding of the Agile processes. This book can give you the later of the two. I highly recommend this book to teachers and to those who want to start learning about the Agile methods.

This book's title Essentials Scrum: A Practical Guide to the Most Popular Agile Process, is a perfect description of what this book is. It covers every essential that you need to know about the scrum process, and the book is written to every role in the scrum process.

If you are interested in Acceptance Test-Driven Development, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Specification by Example, Agile Acceptance Testing, or Story Testing this is a great place to start.

This is one cool book. If you are starting to use Scrum, read it. If you are using Scrum, read it. If you are just wondering what Scrum is all about, read it.

I feel this is the first complete book on what an enterprise level agile process should look like.

A friend of mine at work pointed this out to me last week. I got the book and cannot figure out why it is soooooo cheap. But it is definitely worth it. The book does a great job of putting a realistic spin on agile.
