People who are constantly improving themselves make three processes an ongoing cycle in their lives: 1. Preparation: When individuals are intentional about learning something every day, then they become better prepared to handle whatever challenges they meet.

Paul uses dozens of metaphors throughout 2 Corinthians. In the above passage, he compares stewardship to farming. In trying to encourage the Corinthian church to give generously to their brothers and sisters in Jerusalem, he instructs the church to view its resources as a farmer views sowing seed.

An earnest young man once approached me during a Q & A session, and asked, “What is the ONE THING I need to know to be a great leader?” as if he was searching for the hidden key to unlock the universe.
