Collective punishment in Iraq Al Anbar
Asia Times Online ran an article today quoting residents and officials at Al Anbar province, the largest province in Iraq, sharing a border with Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia, as saying that the occupation troops were behind the collective punishment of civilians across the province. “Ramadi, the capital of al-Anbar province, is still living with the daily terror of its people getting killed by snipers and its infrastructure being destroyed,” said Ahmad, a local doctor.
