2011

Today Microsoft Killed .NET Good-Bye WCF, WPF, WF, and Silverlight

After today's BUILD keynote I would switch to JAVA in a heartbeat if I could, but I have spent too much time in a Microsoft world.

Silverlight 4 Unleashed Book Review

This book is packed with great advice on how to build Silverlight applications correctly. It is an easy to read book, and will also make a great reference.

Applied Architecture Patterns on the Microsoft Platform Book Review

This is a book that would be good for anyone that wants to get a snapshot of the current Microsoft technology stack.

Pro Silverlight 4 in C# Book Review

This book is by far the best resource for Silverlight 4.0. In this version the author added a whopping 273 pages to the last edition. He added chapters on File Access and Out-of-Browser Applications.

.NET Architecture and Development Book Recommendations 2010 End of Year

I have decided to push out another book recommendation blog. There have been a ton of books come out this year both good and bad. Please don't the Shiny Turds Books that do not Cut the Mustard *-Do not Buy-* section. It is next to the last in the list.

A New Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) Webcast Series
