Window Workflow Foundation (WF) fait partie des nouvelles API de Windows nommées WinFX et disponible sur Windows Server 2003, Windows XP SP2 et bien sûr Windows Vista. Ces API sont actuellement en version CTP de février 2006.

In WinFX, a workflow can be expressed in either declarative XAML or in imperative code using any .NET-targeted language. The use of XAML allows for workflows to be developed and modified in visual designers without requiring traditional C# or Visual Basic code. A workflow can be defined either purely in XAML or with XAML plus a codebehind file that contains C# or Visual Basic code.
