La idea es reunir toda la información básica sobre podcasting en unos manuales claros, sencillos, directos y muy prácticos. Al unirlos, formarán un libro donde se pueda encontrar todo lo que siempre quiso saber sobre el podcasting en español y no sabía a quien preguntar.

O objetivo do Música de Graça é de ser um portal de recomendações, que produz e divulga música inédita grátis, para o público fazer o download, mandar para quem quiser ou mesmo fazer seu próprio remix (desde que não seja para uso comercial), já que as composições serão liberadas sob uma licença Creative Commons – organização sem fins lucrativos que disponibiliza licenças flexíveis para obras intelectuais. O site não prioriza estilos, músicos novos ou artistas consagrados. Segundo Dani Gurgel, criadora e desenvolvedora do projeto, “o que se pretende é traçar conexões entre músicos totalmente diferentes mostrando que eles são ligados de uma forma ou de outra.” E completa “como se trata de um projeto eclético e de fácil acesso, espero chegar a um público cada vez maior e dar a oportunidade de ouvir outras criações de grandes artistas e de novos e desconhecidos músicos”.

Not to be confused with the Live Music Archive (see the MP3 Hub section, above), the Free Music Archive is a new (in 2009) resource of free and legal MP3s that was launched by the venerable NYC-area public radio station, WFMU (which is, you should know, the longest-running free-form radio station in the US). The Free Music Archive describes itself as "a social music website built around a curated library of free, legal audio." Featuring downloadable songs placed online by WFMU, KEXP, and a handful of other interesting musical organizations, the Free Music Archive can be browsed by curator or genre, but you have to thumb through a lot--there are no easy indexes to get a broad look at the offerings. And while the site claims to have more than 5,000 MP3s available, what's here is decidedly idiosyncratic. Still, as a large repository of free and legal MP3s, it's worth a visit every now and then.
