It is a "lossless" tool, which means it optimizes the images without changing their look or visual quality. Je vous avais rapidement parlé de pngcrush pour optimiser les images PNG, sans aucune perte de qualité. Stoyan Stefanov nous propose jpegtrans dans sa dernière présentation sur l’optimisation des images.
Le principe est le même : un petit outil en ligne de commande qui optimise l’image sans aucune perte de qualité. Celui ci ne touche donc pas à la compression de l’image elle-même, mais retire toutes les méta-données embarquées dans le fichier.
